The increase had been delayed from October due to a lack of quorum in the committee meetings, which consist of representatives from employers, employees, and the government.
This adjustment is part of the ruling Pheu Thai party’s election promise, which has committed to raising the daily minimum wage to 600 baht by the year 2027.
